Derived from high-resolution weather satellite imagery, the Satellite Imagemap offers
a realistic view of the Earth's land surface down to a pixel size of 1km for any
location worldwide. Areas of forest, mountain, desert and ocean are clearly recognized
in their natural colors. The Satellite Imagemap offers an alternative to traditional
topographic and political maps. The use of digital satellite images with accurate
geometric processing and consistent color gives a stunningly realistic view compared
with physical maps based on artistic impression. This data is available by custom
20 degree x 20 degree tiles or by continental satellite imagemap bundles. Based on the file size your order
will be delivered to you via an FTP or a DVD.
